Even the greatest athletes learn the right and wrong way to put on their socks and lace their shoes before early in their careers. What are the basic tenets of success in LP?

You must have a customer service mind set. Treat your business partners in Store Operations as your customer. Provide them with a professional, quality service the will impact shrink in your area.

What must someone know before starting, or as they start their LP career. Not to sound to Yoda, but you have to know yourself. Work from the inside out. Never try to prove anything to anyone but yourself. The rest will come. I have done this 13 years. Had to learn something there.

Always have patience- if you don't see them at first- don't give up. If you rush into making an apprehension there is too much room for errors. Just be relaxed- enjoy catching the bad guys but be safe about it- merchandise is never more important than your safety.
